Yes, arthroscopy is considered very safe — it is a minimally invasive procedure
performed through tiny incisions under general or local anaesthesia. Complication
rates are very low, and recovery is significantly faster than open surgery. Dr. Sharma

Unilateral knee replacement surgery, it usually costs between 2.5 lakhs to 3 lakhs and a bilateral knee
replacement surgery can anywhere cost between 4 to 5 lakhs. This is an average cost depending upon the
patient's problem, the type of implant used and the hospital where he is getting operated. The robotic
surgery costs a bit extra which can again vary from hospital to hospital. But usually, it costs
approximately 15 to 20 percent of the total package.
Goldney is a common term used for the coated implants for knee replacement surgeries. These implants are
coated with titanium alloy which gives it a golden appearance that is why the average people that that
is why it is commonly called as "goldy". These implants are similar to the standard implant but because
of the coating, these implants can be used for those patients who have got metal allergy and because of
increased hardness, these implants are also supposed to last longer.
The knee replacement implants on an average can last more than 20-25 years. The studies have shown that
the survival rate of knee implant at 15 years is approximately 95% and at 20 years is more than 80%.
With the newer implants and newer techniques, it is supposed that these implants are going to last for
20-25 years.
Orthoscopic ACL regimen reconstruction can cost anywhere between 1.5 to 2 lakhs, 1.5 to 2.5 lakhs depending upon whether there is any meniscus tear or not which needs to be repaired and what kind of implants are used to fix the ACL ligament graft.
